Effectiveness of Physical Therapy In Ankylosing Spondylitis: A Randomized Controlled Study

Objective: To evaluate the effects of physical therapy on pain, disease activity, functional and emotional status quality life in patients with ankylosing spondylitis (AS). 
 Material Method: The study included 31 diagnosed AS. group received 15 sessions (hotpack, ultrasound, TENS hydrotherapy) exercise control only a home program. All were evaluated Visual Analog Scale (VAS) for Bath Ankylosing Spondylitis Functional Index (BASFI) status, Disease Activity (BASDAI) activity Metrology (BASMI) spinal mobility measurements before therapy, then after 2 6 weeks.
